My interests, experience, and education are diverse, as are the topics I've covered as a writer. Below is an overview of my background by content type. To check out some of the material I have created, visit my Writing Samples page.
Over a two-year period, I wrote monthly articles for three related publications: Strictly Business, Strictly Health, and Strictly Women. As the Hearth and Home moderator for WomensNet.net soon after it launched, I provided monthly editorials and articles for the site. When I served as Communications Director for StaffingU.net, I wrote articles and marketing copy for the site's ezine. Recently, my articles have appeared online at LiveStrong, PawneeCityNebraska.com, Net-Temps, and eHow. Due to my experience in web development and online marketing, I can produce articles optimized for selected key phrases.
I recently served as a guest blogger for BettyAuchard.com, and I write periodic blog posts for PawneeCityNebraska.com.
Manuals and Tutorials
In my work with companies such as Cyzap Inc, I wrote software and other technical manuals for inhouse and client projects. I also created a series of video software tutorials for Qarbon, utilizing their proprietary Viewlet production system.
As Managing Editor for Strictly Business, I reviewed and wrote numerous press releases for publication in that magazine. More recently, I have written online press releases for small business clients.
I have written numerous online product descriptions for companies such as Target and Walgreens, ranging from brief entries to more substantial overviews.
One of my responsibilites as Assistant Director for Career Planning and Placement at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln was helping students create and revise their resumes. I also conducted workshops and delivered presentations on the topic. As a self-employed career counselor, I crafted resumes and cover letters for private clients.
